New necklaces

I have written many times before about the creative challenges of the Europeanstreetteam of Etsy! The last months I didn't participate to most of them, but I try as much as I can, because it is a good motivation for creativity!
This week the challenge theme is "rainbow" and is hosted by Natalie, aka Dinafragola! You can visit her blog to see all the gorgeous submissions. I'm participating with this necklace:

I also joined an other challenge with monthly themes, the  "Being Creative" project of   Julia Crossland and made this necklace for the June theme "Ocean":

And since I started making necklaces, I was inspired to make some more:

"sew...rip...to stay occupied...

.........says an old saying...... but also "learn a craft and let it and when you are hungry use it " !
Although I grew up among sewing machines and know how to sew, it's not my favorite craft and haven't sewn anything for years (except sewing the lining fro my bags ;) )...
Νow with the economic crisis, since there is not money available for shopping therapy, I decided to use my little old sewing machine again and make some clothes to renew my wardrobe!!
I found down-town pretty fabrics in very good prices and made a long skirt (which is very trendy this summer)  and a dress:

The straps of the dress were not totally successful, but who cares? Today I'm going to buy some more fabrics :)

Easy tart with ananas and bananas

I'm on diet and can not eat sweets, but I tried out a tart recipe some time ago, which is very easy to make and very tasty!

Ingredients:
1 roll tart dough
2 bananas
6 slices pineapple (fresh or canned)
Juice of one lime or lemon
100 gr. Sugar
100 gr. Grated coconut
120 gr. Soft butter
1 tsp corn flour
1 egg
150 ml cream
2 tbsp rum

Execution:
Butter a baking pan for tarts with 20 gr. from the butter. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and spread the dough in pan.

In a bowl mix the coconut, 70 gr. of the butter, corn flour and half of the sugar. Stir with a spatula and add the cream, eggs and rum. Continue mixing until you obtain a homogeneous cream.

Spread the mixture on the tart dough and bake for about 30-40 minutes until the cream is cooked.

Peel bananas, cut into slices and sprinkle them with lime or lemon. Cut pineapple slices into small pieces. Heat 30 gr. butter in a pan, add the fruits, sprinkle with remaining sugar and caramelize.

Allow to cool in pan. Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool before you remove it from the pan. Sprinkle the dough with the caramelized fruits.

"Geia sta heria mas ΙΙ" - summer bazaar

It has been already a week from the bazaar and I did not write anything yet! The fatigue was big with the preparations before and during and I'm still trying to recover!
But it was a perfect bazaar, we had fun, laughter and great joy and the comments of the public were very positive about the organization and  the beautiful and quality creations!
I'm always happy to have the the chance to meet the team again and have fun on such occassions!
The bazaar was in "Stavlos", a beautiful multi-space at Thissio! We had three rooms where we exhibiedt our products and the attendance was well over the weekend!
And because the bazaar coincided with our annual Craft Party of Etsy, to celebrate the creative expression, throughout the bazaar, we had craft-workshops demonstrating to visitors and passers various techniques and crafts! People enjoyed it and participated very enthusiastically!
A big thank you to the girls who took over the organization, Pergamonto and  InQueue and the people who came and honoured us and I hope to have  again such a successful bazaar soon!
