Illiana & folks blouse, two new designs

The August 2022 Issue of "I like knitting" magazine features my "folks blouse"  and "Illianna" tank,  among gorgeous new sweaters (including a turtleneck), vests, a poncho, mittens and more that any knitter will love!

Folks blouse was inspired by the embroidered peasant tops popular through
the ages. It’s knit bottom up in pieces and then sewn. The blouse is knitted in St st with a hem in garter stitch at the bottom of front and back, and eyelet borders at cuffs and neckline, where ties are weaved through.
The sleeves are decorated with stranded colorwork of stitch patterns, adopted from traditional embroidery folk patterns, with each pattern in a different color to create an interesting contrast.

An abstract landscape painting in beautiful earth tones decorates the front of Illianna, which is designed with loose, relaxed fit, lush turtleneck, and modified drop shoulder shape. The hems and turtleneck are worked in double ribbing. The colorwork of the front is worked with the intarsia method, with the back and sleeves in St st.

"Adella" and "Zaya" my new designs

The June 2022 Issue of "I like knitting" magazine features my "Adella" top on the cover and "Zaya" tank,  among gorgeous tops and beautiful summer accessories, inspired by the the sea, the sand, and the sun!

Equal parts effortless and elevated, the Adella Top is a lovely pick for any seasonal occasion. This top is worked in stockinette stitch with ruffle details over each shoulder and down the front and back of this top. The finishing of the round neckline, armholes, and hem are worked with single ribbing. With its subtle flair and elegant ruffle accents, this warm-weather staple is easily dressed up for an evening out.

With flirty tie-straps and playful pleats, this tank guarantees you’ll have sun-kissed shoulders. Zaya is designed with a square neck and a lush cable pattern that forms a smocked body. The bodice is worked with 4×2 ribbing. The back and fronts are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together. First, the pleated peplum is worked from waist to bottom, then the bodice is worked bottom up. This tangerine tank brightens any mood.

My new design "Everleigh" on the cover of "ILikeKnitting" magazine + "Thalia" cardigan inside this Issue

So thrilled to see my new design on the cover of Issue Feb 2022 of ILikeKnitting magazine :)

ILikeKnitting Feb 2022 is on sale in shops across the US from Wednesday 1st February. You can also find it at ILikeKnitting.com

"Let me introduce the February 2022 issue of I Like Knitting. Begin by knitting the staple pieces featured in our New Year Must Haves section. The Everleigh Fisherman’s Rib Sweater (featured on the cover) is a breathtaking design that’s seamless, made with a classic two-color fisherman’s rib and can be worn inside out if desired. Also in this section is a basic split-collar turtleneck, an ultra-cozy cabled cardigan featuring columns of seed stitch and a fisherman’s rib scarf that’s perfect for men and women alike.
Next, gear up for warmer weather with our Spring Beginnings section featuring bright pieces that are ideal for that awkward shift in seasons. My personal favorite is the light and airy Lillee Boatneck Sweater with scalloped edging and slipped stitches resulting in a lighter pullover that still provides some warmth.
Plus, get ready for Valentine’s Day with the creative gift ideas in our Be Our Galentine section. From intricate socks with a secret love message to personalized key chains and ultra soft mittens, we hope you find inspiration in each one of these clever pieces.
Happy knitting,
Caitlin Eaton
"

Worked in the round bottom-up and seamless, this is an infinitely versatile piece that can be worn inside out. The two-color simple fisherman’s rib with beautiful raglan shaping makes Everleigh an ideal entry into fisherman's rib garments.

In the Feb 2022 Issue you can also find my "Thalia" design:

The generous shape of this long open-front cardigan creates a cozy fit with classic appeal. Thalia features an all-over textured pattern and a shawl collar worked in reverse stockinette stitch, creating beautifully rolled edges. This cardigan is the perfect casual piece for when you just want to be cozy and cute.
