knitting inspiration: circular yoke

Sweaters with fair isle yoke are always popular and had a strong presense at this season's caltwalks.
The yoke is created by knitting top-down circular, or  we can knit the body and sleeves to the armhole and join the pieces on the round to continue with the yoke.

Trend report - colorwork

If you haven't attempted to knit colorwork patterns, now is the time to do so. They are classic and this season very trendy with a dynamic presence on the catwalks!

Start with an easy pattern with simple motifs, like a scarf or a cushion to practice and soon you will be able to create gorgeous sweaters, jackets, dresses, caps, sockes and mittens!

This gorgeous pattern of Kaffe Fasset is ideal for experimenting, but also for consuming your yarn stash!

Time for knitting!

Finally fall is here with rains and chills! The ideal weather for knitting!

I decided to play with wool and make a colorful felted bag, inspired by the beautiful fair isle & argyle designs.

 Ralph Lauren
 Tommy Hilfinger
The bag is large, closes with an internal metallic frame and can be easily be worn on the shoulders with the bright leather handles! Charming addition two large tassels attached on the front!
