My new design "Thekla cardigan" on the cover of Issue #146 of "Knit now" magazine

Thekla was born out of a desire to decorate a simple, wearable shape with the intricate allover patterning of delicately textured cable motifs.  
The comfortable cardigan has a relaxed shape and drop shoulder sleeves, button bands and neckband which are worked in single ribbing.  The back, fronts and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up in a simple yet beautiful pattern with traveling cables and sewn together.

It was knitted with Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash, a yarn with great stitch definition, to show off its beautiful cables.
