"Fall is the perfect time to start knitting, knitting, knitting! Think new sweaters, new accessories, new cardigans— everything essential you need for fall can be handmade to create a unique piece that will be your favorite all autumn long.

This issue is packed full of ideas to inspire you: a trendy knit bag, the perfect chunky headband, a new poncho, a classic shrug and so much more. Start by knitting the perfect fall sweater: the Kinsley Fair Isle Yoke Sweater. Featuring a gorgeous yellow-and-white yoke over a bold blue sweater body, this cozy piece is ideal for all your fall festivities. And make sure you don’t miss the Raven Plaid Poncho and the Raina Fringe Sweater. Both are destined to be instant classics for the upcoming season.

Plus, think ahead to wintertime and start knitting for even chillier temperatures with the projects featured in our First Frost section. Boasting a classic cabled infinity scarf, a trendy reversible knit beanie and an adorable patchwork cardigan — you’ll want to knit them all. -
Caitlin Eaton "

Olivette is designed with an all-over mock cable and eyelet pattern, with hems in single ribbing. The loose, relaxed fit, v-neck and drop shoulder shape, keep this beguiling pullover feeling casual, cool and incredibly wearable.

In the Oct2021 Issue you can also find my "Raina" design:

The highlight of this funnel-neck sweater with a straight loose silhouette and drop-shoulder billow sleeves, is the intriguing center panel of cables that form diamonds and leaves, with a fringe at each side of the panel. The back, sleeves and sides of the front are worked in quadruple moss stitch, constructing a delicate texture.

Cornelia & Isadora, my new designs in the new issue of "ILikeKnitting" magazine

From autumn to august, this new issue is full of patterns to inspire you as you knit for what’s left of summer, while still prepare for chillier days ahead. Start by diving into the Meadow Moments section, where gorgeous summer florals and rich fields of wildflowers meet knitting. Whether inspired by the flowers themselves or created to wear during your next outdoor adventure, these pieces are perfect for those remaining warmer days. This section also features one of my favorites: the Chrysanthemum Pillow. Knit in a lavender with a bold circle center filled with a unique motif which combines intarsia and stranded colorwork, the result is simply stunning.
Next, get your fill of the summer’s end with the Southwest Summer selection, featuring earthy hues inspired by the desert terrain. Boasting a fringe shawl, a flattering sweater and adorable (and trendy) set of canyon-inspired pillows, you’ll love bringing these natural pieces into your home (and your closet).
When you find yourself dreaming of hot apple cider and apple picking, it can only mean one thing: better start knitting sweaters. This issue features five new sweater patterns, including the gorgeous Cornelia Sweater which features columns of lace and simple cables for a project that’s as classic as it is striking.

My new design - Laguna sweater on the cover of Issue #127 of "Knit now" magazine

So thrilled to see my new design on the cover of Issue 127 of Knit Now Magazine :)

Knit Now Issue 127 is on sale in shops across the UK from Thursday 25th March. To find your nearest stockist, visit www.seymour.co.uk - or order online from www.craftstash.co.uk. You can also purchase a digital edition of the magazine via the PocketMags app.

Relaxed, comfortable and casual - this is what oversized clothing feels like. The long-running trend from the 80s was largely influenced by none other than the style icon Coco Chanel. She campaigned for more femininity - she wanted to create fashion for women who are elegant, self-confident but also flexible.

Laguna was inspired by this oversized clothing trend and is designed with a very loose, relaxed fit, with a casual, cool and incredibly wearable feeling. The sweater was knitted with King Cole merino blend 4ply yarn.

The duplicate stitch how-to

 Dolce & Gabbana

If you are tempted by colorwork patterns, like the gorgeous bouquet of roses by Dolce & & Gabbana, but hesitate to try, you can embroider the pattern on the knitted piece with the duplicate stitch. Or you can knit part of the pattern and embroider the rest.

In my new design "Field of daisies", I knitted the white parts of the daisies and embroidered the cyellow parts with the duplicate stitch. You can find the pattern for the shawl in the Feb/21 Issue of "I Like knitting" magazine, or here: www.ilikeknitting.com

Duplicate stitch is a knitting technique that allows you to cover a stockinette stitch while making it look like the new stitches are part of the knitting. It's often used for adding details and colorwork patterns to a project.

Watch in the video below how to do the duplicate stitch :
