Extreme Knitting

Some days ago I went to the National Bank waiting line was incredible! I grabbed therefore my knitting and knit. Of course people were looking at me strangely! Some ladies started chatting and asked me about the knitting, what I was making, how etc and another told me the following line: "Ah you are knitting? You reminded me my mum in the village!" I didn't answer her suitably, simply I smiled and I continued knitting… And while in Greece the knitting is still belittled and is considered activity of the grand mothers, in the abroad is not only popular, but has also passed in extreme situations with creations for internal decoration, as the poufs and the rugs that knits Christien Meindertsma with needles of enormous dimensions, and the rugs that knits Rachel John with innumerable skeins of thread and enormous needles, with creations exhibits in museums, with guerrilla knitters, as "knitta" that dress and tag public spaces, with creations by curious materials as fiberglass ….
